Google Fonts – a free haven of fonts

With so many fonts available (most on the web) it is hard to sift through them and find the perfect match for your design. The most annoying thing once you have selected your font is then finding out it has a license fee and you will have to fork out money for the privilidge of using it! 

Fear no more as Google fonts are here to help. Having been around for a while now Google fonts have increase the number of font available dramtically. There is such a wide range of varied fonts you are bound to find what you are looking for.

The beauty of google fonts is that you can download the files to your computer for use in your favourite design package but they also offer hosted options if you want to have the font online on a blog or website. The "quick use" option gives you access to the raw HTML code that you need and also tells you how much impact the font will have on your web page load times.

Google fonts are free to use; the majority are covered by the SIL Open Font License, 1.1.
